Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 — Article 6 – Article 8
Operators must submit due diligence statements or simplified declarations through authorised representatives, and all operators must exercise due diligence before placing products on the market. The rules apply to any operator placing relevant products on the EU market.
One question decides this
- We couldn't tell from your profile whether you are the first to place wooden furniture and leather goods on the EU market, because the profile does not say where the goods come from (imported from outside the EU, made yourself, or bought from an EU supplier).
- If you import or manufacture these products, the due diligence obligations apply to you as an operator placing relevant products on the market.
- If you only resell goods that an EU supplier has already placed on the market, you may not be bound by the due diligence requirements.
